Renewed Or Cancelled?
Money Heist (or La Casa De Papel as it’s originally known as) is a Spanish Netflix thriller that shot to fame back in 2018.
Since then, the show has been a real rollercoaster ride over the years, adding extra elements of danger and high-stakes tension with each passing season.
What is Money Heist about?
In its simplest form, Money Heist is a show about a bank heist and takes the idea of a cat and mouse thriller, dialing that up to 11.
The story centers on an eccentric group of robbers, led by the enigmatic Professor, who attempt to carry out the most perfect robbery in Spanish history – stealing 2.4 billion euros from the Royal Mint of Spain.
The later seasons do branch out from here though, with lots of twists, turns and big shockers along the way.

Has Money Heist been renewed for season 6?
At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed Money Heist for season 6. Despite its immense popularity, the show creators have explicitly stated that the final season will be five seasons only, split into two distinct parts. These are due to be released in September and December of 2021, respectively.
The show creator, Alex Pina, has confirmed that the show will end during the conclusion to season 5’s story. However, there is a South Korean remake on the table in the near future so do stay tuned for that.

What we know about season 6 so far
As mentioned previously, Money Heist will not be renewed for season 6. However, the show continues to drive huge numbers for Netflix so it’s no surprise that a Korean remake is on the table. This appears to be following the same formula, although the number of episodes remains a big talking point.
For now though, we don’t expect season 6 to be green-lit and believe Money Heist will end in December 2021 without being renewed.
