HBO Max’s Made for Love Season 2 gave us zany plot twists and laughs to rival the first season.

The last episode left off with quite the cliffhanger, leaving ample room to continue the comedy drama series. But has HBO approved a season 3 of Made for Love?

What is Made for Love about?

Made for Love stars Cristin Milioti as Hazel Green Gogol, a woman caught between her rough childhood past and her current reality of being trapped in an unwanted marriage.

Hazel is married to Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen) a multi-millionaire tech mogul who has shut up himself and Hazel in The Hub, the secret base for Gogol operations.

In Hazel’s attempts to break free from Byron’s control, she seeks help from her deadbeat father Herb (Ray Romano). But escaping from one of the most powerful (and delusional) men in the world doesn’t turn out to be so easy.

Has Made for Love been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, Made for Love has not been renewed for a third season. Unfortunately, HBO have recently announced in an exclusive with Variety that there will not be a third season.

That’s a real shame though as the series definitely had potential for more. However, given this has come off the heels of Raised By Wolves being cancelled too, it’s clear that HBO are shaking up its programming schedule and Made for Love is another casualty in the round of cancellations.

What we know about season 3 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given HBO have cancelled this show. However, that doesn’t mean it’s completely dead and buried. We have seen other studios pick up unfinished or cancelled projects, with Netflix and Amazon most notably grabbing cancelled projects and continuing them.

If Made for Love is renewed, however, we expect the story to follow Hazel’s having a baby, her trying to take over Gogol industries with Fiffany, and Byron’s attempt to gain back control of his own body.

For now though, the fate of Made For Love is very much up in the air. Let’s hope this one gets snatched up by another studio!

  2. I love Made For Love, unfortunately I love alot of streaming shows on various platforms . So I watch them in a sort of round table format, which means I get to them one at a time, unless it’s Lock and Key or Stranger Things or Sandman, which I have to binge watch. I don’t have time to binge watch all the shows I like!

  3. I genuinely hope Netflix picks up “made 4 for love”. When my husband told me it was canceled I was so upset. Also im curious if Haze’s baby could actually be Jasper,s. So much to know. And are they going to bring back Herb…? The show got 94% on rotten tomatoes. Wth is HBO thinking. Thats the biggest reason I subscribed. I feel they could loose quite a lot of people and $ by doing this. I am a live paycheck to paycheck household after going through cancer. For me to pay for HBO is huge. Shame shame HBO. Come on Netflix…. we love you. Save the day. Lol.

  6. Yes, please give us a season 3. I would love to find out who the father of Hazel’s baby is, Byron or Jasper? Hmmmm????? Also will Byron get his body back and does Hazel become controlling now that she is running Gogol?

  7. I hope Netflix picks Made For Love up and continues it for a few seasons (as they did for Riverdale, lol). It’s incredible, and I and others will definitely tune in if they do so! Along with Netflix’s great promotion team, they would definitely have the potential to bring the show up to its true standards. The actors are INSANELY talented, and I need to know what happens with Hazel, Byron and the baby! Let’s hope Netflix brings the show back to life!

  8. All I can think about is a season 3! I’d like for Byron to get his body back and finally be completely honest with hazel and change for better. I really like the idea of hazel and Byron being a real couple who both want to be together. But will it be too late? Has hazel now become who Byron once was…evil & controlling?

  9. I want more! Season 3 please. I love the actors ( so very interesting and talented) and characters and don’t want it to end.

  12. Yes, yes, please yes. One of the smartest shows on air. Way surpasses the flight attendant’s over dramatized, over acted mess.

  13. So much more could be unfolded from the story told so far. Give us a flashback of what life looked like when Byron was with Alice, and the fall apart. The baby. The awesome women power of Gogol. The secret why Byron’s brother took the device from Hazel – and evaded the FBI. More, more, more!

  17. I have loved, “Made for Love,” since the very first time I watched it. The writing and acting are exceptional, and after every episode I’m left feeling I can never get enough. The show is just brilliant, creative, yet light and funny. Please, please hurry already with Season 3!
