Has Lockwood & Co. been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Lockwood & Co. is Netflix’s latest teen horror drama that is an adaptation of Jonathan Stroud’s young-adult books of the same name. The series itself was a dynamic and thrilling ride from start to finish but is there going to be a Season 2? If you’ve been wondering, here’s what we know:

What is Lockwood & Co. Season 1 about?

In this fictional version of the United Kingdom, the living shut themselves behind iron-bolstered doors and the dead roam the streets. Amongst hordes of corporate agencies that neutralize ghosts, Lucy, George and Lockwood form a ragtag agency of their own known as Lockwood & Co.

Together, they team up to hunt ghosts and destroy their source of power, all while narrowly escaping the ghosts’ fatal touch. With every new spirit from the other side and even non-human enemies that they encounter, the stakes seem to rise higher and higher.

The show has been written and directed by Joe Cornish and stars Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati in the leading roles.

Has Lockwood & Co. been renewed for Season 2?

At the time of writing this, Lockwood & Co. has not been renewed or cancelled. Netflix has not made any official statement about the series yet.

Usually, the renewal of a series depends on a few metrics including the number of viewers as well as how many complete watching the show. While Lockwood & Co. is currently seeing a lot of praise from critics and the general public, Netflix has been known to make shocking cancellations of shows.

However, considering the show’s growing popularity and the fact that Rotten Tomatoes reported a 100% approval rating for the show, we predict that the show will be renewed for a Season 2.

What we know about Season 2 so far:

Not much is known about Season 2 of Lockwood & Co. If Netflix green lights the show, which as we said above is highly likely, there will be more information regarding the release date, any new additions to the cast, and what books they will be adapting.

Season 1 of Lockwood & Co. covered the first two novels of Jonathan Stroud. Should Season 2 be approved, it’s likely to cover the third book, The Hollow Boy, and maybe the fourth, The Creeping Shadow, too. In that case, we can probably expect the season to not release before 2024 at the least.

  1. I’m an American who is obsessed with the British experience and Lockwood and Co was one of the best shows I’ve seen in ages! Please please make a season 2 and season 3 and season 4 and season 5 etc etc LOL

  2. Watched Lockwood & Co by chance and was totally hooked.
Was very scary with the haunting spirits.
Don’t make us wait too long for Season 2

  3. Watched Lockwood & Co by chance and was totally hooked.
Don’t make us wait too long for Season 2

  4. loved the series hated the clifhanger ending (must. see. behind. door.) netflix better come out with a season 2.

  5. I stumbled on this looking for something and this hit the spot. I’m not a critic so if there were flaws in the acting it only made it more realistic for me and even though it’s fiction more believable for me. Young kids stepping in without a thought, injuries to main characters that happens in real life less the fiction. I hope that the souls that were released find their forms and come back to life, especially Lucy’s friend Nomi? There’s lots of storylines that could come out of this that could make it different from the books. Keep it going, please.

  6. Please please renew this Series (Netflix)

  7. I am 50 for crying out loud and watched this like I was a teenager from start to finish. Please please Netflix this show has appeal for all ages and is so fun and engaging, please don’t deny us Season 2!!

  8. Would like to see this renewed. Interesting plot line- good retro feel
to it- a bit like a 1970’s teen detective series aimed at 13 year olds but enjoyed by a much broader audience. It’s fairly obvious that Anthony Lockwood is being modelled on Tom Hiddleston ‘s acting style and mannerisms. Whilst the George character is clearly channeling Richard Ayouadi . Could do without the heavy handed ‘it’s grim oop North’ stereotypes of money grabbing parents and cruel employers and blunt but feisty northern girls in the metropolis – but then again it’s pretty much a fairy tale with swashbuckling heroes and heroines so a cruel stepmother ( or real mother ) is allowable . It’s not subtle but it is very, very entertaining and quite exciting in parts. The trick will be not to up the production budget too far and thus lose the slightly amateur feel- because that is an essential part of its charm. Can’t wait to see it back on the screen

  9. Enjoyed every minute. That cliffhanger ending just has to be resolved! Bring on season 2, Netflix. Please don’t cancel the show, it’s definitely 5* entertainment.

  17. Sense8, Daredevil, Luke Cage,The Kominski Method (sp?), Teenage Bounty Hunters & Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, were all great shows that were canceled by Netflix, I wouldn’t doubt if they stomped on my expectations of a great season 2 and canceled another great show.
