What is Insider Season 1 about?
Insider is the latest exciting mid-week K-drama. The story centers on a judicial trainee named Kim Yo-Han. Unfortunately, his world comes crashing down when he learns tragedy has struck his family.
While working undercover to investigate suspected corruption carried out by a prosecutor, Yo-Han finds himself inside the fearsome Seongju Prison. Realizing he’s been betrayed, he sets out to avenge those who have wronged him and his family.
Thankfully, Yo-Han finds an unlikely ally in the form of a shady female entrepreneur named Oh Soo Yeon. She visits him in prison and promises to help him… but only if he helps her too.

Has Insider been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, JTBC have not renewed Insider for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.
The ratings began with a 2.5% share nationwide but since then, the show has been hovering around a 3.1% share, doing a rather good job to keep things steady and consistent over the weeks.
However, given most k-dramas wrap up their stories in a single season, it’s very rare to find these sort of shows renewed. Given this is a simple revenge story at its heart, we predict Insider will not be renewed.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Most Korean dramas are reserved to one season and with the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.
However, there is always the possibility that the actors return for a follow-up. There would certainly be scope to expand should the cycle of revenge continue beyond Yo-Han’s targets, but we don’t see this one being renewed.

I usually ignored film like insider because I don’t like films that doesn’t involve sword and fighting . But as soon, as I watch insider episode 1 to 5, I was move and continue watching till episode 16 . I love the film , the writer did a great job by producing such an outstanding film. Please I need more . Try to bring the season 2 as soon as possible
It was such a great kdrama, with a really interesting plot and all the characters were portrayed in a perfect way by the actors. Personally, I’d love if this series had a season 2, simply because there are still many questions left to be anwered and many mysteries to be unfolded about the future and the present of all the characters. This show has so much potential and it could definetely make its way with a second season. It was absolutely mesmerizing and as a series watcher of years and especially kdramas (I’ve watched over 80 kdramas), I stronlgly believe in the power of its plot and how attached the acting and the storytelling make the viewer. The impact of this show is surely imprinted on me and other viewers as well. Hoping to a season 2 for more mysteries and outstanding performances. Congrats to the director, the actors and the whole crew that made this work till the end without any mistakes. Wishing for anyone who reads this to be motivated to watch the show which I stronly recommend! Thanks for your time! Lots of love <3
