The three-part true crime docuseries, Indian Predator is a short breakdown inside the minds of serial killers from India. The show is a narration of true events and has recently released a second season after the success of Season 1.
With stories like the Butcher of Delhi and the Diary of a Serial Killer, the show aims to throw some light on the inner workings of the mind of a predator. After finishing the three episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Indian Predator about?
Indian Predator, over the two seasons of the three-part true crime docuseries on Netflix, uncovers the details of gruesome killings while people who were at the epicentre talk about what went down. The first season of Indian Predator dissected the Butcher of Delhi, named Chandrakant Jha, one of the most gruesome serial killers in the country’s history.
Jha was convicted in 2013 for three gruesome killings between 2003 and 2007. The first season of Indian Predator received a lot of favourable reviews for the way the makers of the show explored the crime and how they were able to paint a clear picture of the murders with evidence generated from the butcher himself.
Season 2 of the show receives a negative response from the audience who call it half-baked due to the lack of conviction in the cross-examination of the accused as well as the lack of substantial evidence to allege that Raja Kolander was truly a cannibal who had committed close to 15 murders before being jailed in early the 2000’s.

Has Indian Predator been renewed for season 3?
At the time of writing, Indian Predator has not been renewed for a third season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.
Generally, Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Indian Predator Season 2 has mixed reception with critics giving this show bad reviews. However, the first season of the show received favourable reviews from fans and critics alike which gives viewers hope for a third season of the three-part docuseries.
Taking everything into consideration, we’re predicting that Indian Predator will not be renewed for a third season. Given the series is a narration of the most brutal criminals from India, there definitely is no scarcity in the material. If the makers are able to work on the way to aptly execute the material, the upcoming season/s of Indian Predator are likely to receive better reception.

What we know about Indian Predator Season 3 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Netflix has not green-lit a new season.
Of course, if more details are revealed about a new season we could see a renewal on the cards. As mentioned above, we predict that this will not be renewed but we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
