Has Feria: The Darkest Light been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Feria: The Darkest Light Season 1

Commissioned for 8 episodes, Feria: The Darkest Light is a slow burn mix of mystery, crime and drama that makes for a rather patient watch and one that’s going to be an acquired taste.

Feria is moody, unnerving and incredibly atmospheric. Say what you will about the story and its faults, when it comes to mood and tone, Feria nails it.

What is Feria: The Darkest Light Season 1 about?

Set in the sleepy town of Feria, Feria: The Darkest Light’s story centers on two sisters, Sofia and Eva, who find their life turned upside down. Has Feria: The Darkest Light been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Feria: The Darkest Light has not been renewed for a second season. Feria has had a rather lukewarm reception from both critics and audiences alike and it seems this – combined with a potential lack of an audience invested in the story, has resulted in some very disappointing news.

Feria: The Darkest Light has officially been cancelled by Netflix. The news broke over at Espinof in May 2022. As a result, this is the end of the road for this mystery series.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have actually cancelled the series. Unless another studio picks this up and decides to run with the story, it seems this is the end of the road for the Spanish series. The conclusion does leave the main plot line unresolved, with that cliffhanger involving the demon and our sisters’ fate still unknown.

Unfortunately though, it’s bad news as another Netflix original ends up unfinished with a frustrating cliffhanger ending.

  1. I’ve just about had it with this crap. I am only watching movies or limited series or series that have finished. Netflix is not what it used to be anymore

  2. I want to see this series further it’s amazing series till now and hopefully Netflix gives the approval for second season for the feria during the all episodes the suspense are continue to know what’s going to happen ahead it’ amazing show which I have never seen yet mind blowing web series and lots of love to the entire team and wish to see them further

  3. Brilant creepy show , I watched most of it second and third day, haven’t seen last episode yet, but yes I would have liked a follow on, same as Marco Polo, Netflix does not give enough episodes, cancels all too soon. Up to.

  4. It just makes me angry with Netflix. Shows like this should be given a chance to at least have an option for an ending, even if it’s just one episode to tie things up. I can’t believe that no one knew that the show would be cancelled in time to end it. Even if ending with a solution, the show could have gone on. I am shying away from Netflix original. This is not the first time that this has happened.

  5. I’m a big watcher of Netflix from from shows like stranger things to shows like Marianne(which also deserves a season2) but Feria although a slow burn really stood out yes its culty like lots of others, but the religion the show used, the atmosphere of the actual cult, and new entity’s that had never been depicted before, I constantly rewatch the ending scene due to it finally satisfying the “what if the gate actually opens” question it makes the thought of were season 2 could really go lots more other unanswered questions, truly devastating to here this has been cancelled had the Netflix countdown and everything, was looking forward to seeing the second season than last season of stranger things, PLEASE BRING THIS SHOW BACK THEY HAD TEN EPISODES PLANNED AND I EVEN SAW THE TITLES OF A FEW DON’T DO THIS

  6. I found the ending SUPER disappointing. Very, very frustrating. It was fine until Sofia “broke the fifth seal” and the skull thing/demon poked through… it just felt cheap. Until that the demons were really unique and unnerving. I am not a writer but still feel something better could have been accomplished. Not necessarily a super happy ending but something less explicit and abrupt and rather open and ambiguous. Maybe bittersweet and not as bleak. Even with a season two I have a hard time seeing how things could have been turned around.. I really enjoyed (and was creeped out by) it until the end. I really felt for the characters, especially Sofia.

  7. We need second season pls come on it’s one of the best series and already Cancell that’s not fair for us viewers!

  8. I would love to have a season 2 back on. It kept me going and I finished it in one day. Like comon I need more. Don’t cancel please it needs to come back on. It’s a really good season.

  9. Based on what I have read in regards to an unconfirmed second season, I will stop watching Feria until a second season is confirmed. Plus the English voice acting is quite bad.
I’m tired of watching shows that end unresolved at the end of a season, and then find that the show has been cancelled.
Salvation is a great example of this, where it’s all set up for a second season but is cancelled. Nothing was answered, only more questions and then it’s cancelled.

  10. This is the best new series I’ve seen on Netflix. The content was complex and compelling. Please make a second season.
