Animated sitcoms are always a little hit or miss and Fairfax is one of those shows that you’ll either love or loathe. With colourful visuals and some quirky jokes, Fairfax continues to deliver more of the same in this second season – for better or worse.

If you’ve been following this one and have watched the end of season 2, you may be wondering if this one’s been renewed or cancelled.

What is Fairfax Season 2 about?

Fairfax takes place deep in the heart of Fairfax Avenue, right in the heart of hypebeast culture. The show follows the misadventures of 13 year olds Dale, Derica, Benny and Truman; four best friends who want to become big influencers.

This season essentially rekindles the same enthusiasm the first brought with it, as the kids find themselves engaged in numerous different incidents and hijinks. From the Middle School getting into a “grieving contest” across to Gang Gang rescuing Hiroki from the infamous Clout 9, there’s a lot to sink your teeth into.

Has Fairfax been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, Amazon have not renewed Fairfax for season 3. Given the lukewarm ratings, both critically and from audiences, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.

Amazon have a pretty good track record with renewals across the board though, with fellow animated series Legend of Vox Machina getting an early renewal this year.

With Amazon operating as the second largest streaming provider after Netflix, it makes sense that Amazon would look to diversify their content, with Fairfax a great example of that. However, those turned away from season 1 are unlikely to tune into this one, making it tricky to predict the numbers. However, we’re going out on a limb here and predicting that Fairfax will be renewed.

What we know about season 3 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Amazon Prime have not green-lit a sequel. We’ll have to wait and see what Amazon do with this one, and given the average-at-best ratings, it’ll all be down to engagement and how many watches Amazon manage to clock up on Prime Video.

For now though, we’re under the impression that Fairfax will be renewed for a third season. However, we will aim to update this page when more information becomes available.
