Has Tekken: Bloodline been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Tekken: Bloodline is the latest videogame adaptation on Netflix, taking the story of Tekken 3 and adding a good deal of action and drama for good measure. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Tekken: Bloodline about?

The plot centers on Jin Kazama, a talented fighter haunted by a horrific incident involving his mother, Jun Kazama, when he was a kid. Trained by his grandfather, Heihachi, to unleash his true potential, Jin eventually enters the King of Iron Fist tournament to avenge his mother and stop the monstrous Ogre. But is Jin strong enough to overcome his demons and fight through a litany of talented and powerful fighters?

We have coverage of Tekken: Bloodline across the site, including a full season review. You can check that out HERE.

Has Tekken: Bloodline been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Tekken: Bloodline has not been renewed for a second season. Given the way this story ends, it could go either way. In the games, Tekken 3’s story literally ends at the same point as the anime.

Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, Tekken: Bloodline has had a pretty good reception with most critics giving this show decent reviews and audiences (at the time of writing) pretty positive about the way Tekken has been adapted into anime format.

Taking everything into consideration, we’re predicting that Tekken: Bloodline will not be renewed for a second season. There’s definitely potential here but the story feels like it reaches a natural conclusion, given the way Tekken 3 ends. We could be wrong of course, and if there’s enough buzz with this one we could see another tournament and Jin return once again.

We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. The conclusion does seem to close things out in a natural way, with Jin throwing the pendant over to Xiaoyu and flying off into the sunset.

If this one is renewed, we could well see Jin return or another time jump forward, with more characters from the games making an appearance. For now though, we’re under the impression that there will not be another season.

We’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!

  1. As a life long fan of the Tekken franchise, ABSOLUTELY, would I love additional seasons. The nostalgia and hype is real.

  2. To be honest it was great,
If there was a second season I would definitely watch it,
It reminds me so much of the game and would love to see other characters have their training for the iron fist Tournament,

  3. I think it was over too fast although I don’t like fighting games anymore I really like this animated series if it helps I would watch it more than once if it helps hell I would watch it 20 times if it gets up to ratings toward a second season I am more than dedicated even if it takes 50 times

  4. Most definitely, I would truly love to see a season 2, they got the series on point, the fight scenes matched the games fight scene, the characters signature moves, from King’s grappling and Paul phoenix power punch

  5. Definitely deserves another season or 2 could definitely tie a couple of stories together with all the characters this game has starting from the Kazuya Mishima story

  6. Honestly they did a great work by giving us an anime on Tekken. I first get into Tekken by mean of Tekken 3 game itself. It was really fun to play the game at that time. Then I watched Tekken Blood Vengeance Movie and it was really good to see Alisa and Xiaoyu but the way they ended the TRIPLE THREAD between MISHIMAS was really mind blowing. Only missing thing that I have found in it was that it not cannon. But when I get to know we are getting a series how could I miss that. Oops sorry I think I must have talked too much about Tekken Blood Vengeance. I am not going to talk about Tekken Bloodline. It was just to excite you. I don’t wanna spoil your fun so go watch TEKKEN BLOODLINE and share your thoughts about it. And please support the anime of TEKKEN. It’s looking really good even if it’s just a start. I know they are going to make it best. Just you wait…

  8. Been a fan since the 90s! Own all the games and seen all the movies! Heck yes do another season bc I would like to know what happened to the missing fighters, where’s Eddy? Then Kazuya has to make an appearance! There’s enough games to make it happen to keep it canon if that’s what they aiming for…

  9. Yes big fan of Tekken played through every game of Tekken ever made I’d love to see a season 2 and more

  10. Pretty good anime but it’s basically a TV-14 version of Baki. If there’s a season 2 I’ll definitely watch.

  11. Love, love, LOVED this anime. We NEED a season 2. Do a Tekken Tag tournament but something to bring the characters back together. We need to see Jinn accepted by his peers even though he has this devil gene in him.

  12. The show was amazing and i think it deserves a second season.some moments were so thrilling that it was difficult to take a seat and the way we see jin’s story.i think it needs to continue in season 2
