Big Mouth is the latest thriller sensation, streaming on Disney+ in selected regions. With a delicious mystery and a must-watch feel to every chapter, this one has been a thrill-ride from start to finish.

If you’ve been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Well, wonder no more! Here’s what we know about a renewal:

What is Big Mouth Season 1 about?

Big Mouth is the latest MBC Original, focusing on Park Chang-Ho who works as a lawyer with a measly 10% winning rate. Due to his talkative nature, people refer to him as Big Mouth. However, he becomes entangled in a murder case and is fingered as genius swindler “Big Mouse”

Meanwhile, Go Mi-Ho is Chang-Ho’s wife and she works as a nurse. She helps her husband become a lawyer and supports him financially and psychologically. When Mi-Ho learns that Chang-Ho is suspected to be this swindler, Big Mouse, she sets out to try and clear her husband’s name.

Has Big Mouth been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, MBC have not renewed Big Mouth for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.

Despite being shown on Disney+ within specific regions, MBC  do have ratings available to look over. The first episode began with 6.2% share and since then it’s doubled, boasting weekend ratings of around 12%.

Despite most k-dramas wrapping up their stories in a single season, it’s very rare  -but not impossible – to find these sort of shows renewed. While this may be a little left-field, we actually predict that Big Mouth will be renewed.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about a second season given MBC have not officially announced whether this will be renewed or not.

Most Korean dramas are reserved to one season and with the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.

However, there is always the possibility that the actors return for a follow-up, although that is slim indeed, despite what we predict above. We do think this has potential for another season though, and Disney could well decide to push for another season, given how well the ratings are doing and how popular this is on D+.  For now, we’re still in the dark but under the impression that Big Mouth will be returning for another season.

  5. I think the white flowers at the end were for No Park instead of Ko Miho and Miho is still alive just like it was in Penthouse and of course Chairman Kang son’s would be the main villain in Season 2 from my opinion

  7. There has to be season two because chairman kanga son. His son killed big mouse daughter. He hasn’t completed his promise to big mouse. Also the lab what one earth was they doing in there.

There can be season 2 if they plan to make it, the script would be like chairman kang’s son has came from the us and we will be taking the revenge of his father’s death and he would think that the big mouse has killed his father, they can bring twist of his psychic behaviour and the demon he is and which he known for the killings. Would be nice if the season 2 comes

  9. My first korean drama watch and pledging to watch much more. The content suspense and the recap and precap after every episode simply love it

  11. This was one of the best drama’s I’ve seen in a long time. It was filled with suspense,drama,action,love,hate, greed, and love. The acting from the main characters to the ancillary players was superb and believable. It was a joy
    to watch and I was eager to watch the next episode. I do hope you seriously
    consider a Season 2. Thank you for the excellent entertainment.

  13. There should be a season 2, cause a lot of things are still not cleared. They must return this amazing series to tie all the loose ends.

  16. There should be season 2. We need to know what really happened to Mr. No’s daughter and who and where is Chairman Kang’s psychopath son,

  17. Season 2 please. We want to know who is the real psychopath. What is the Lab doing and why are they collecting bloods from the inmates with separate coding? There’s still a lot of questions on my mind tho.

  19. This drama become one of my favorites. I think it should have season 2 to cover the psychopath story and lab. So please release season 2!

  20. And what happened to the psychopath? Who is he? And what hell happening inside the lab? You guys better have season 2
