Renewed Or Cancelled?
Angela Black is the latest ITV drama airing on Sundays. With excellent acting from Joanne Froggatt and a twisty-turny story, there’s certainly a lot to like. The show has a neat and tidy six episode run-time, with the main focus being on Angela Black, as she finds herself fighting for her life, her kids – and her sanity.
What is Angela Black about?
Angela Black appears to have it all. She’s a woman with a loving husband, Olivier, two sons and a decent job as a volunteer at the dog shelter. Only, she’s actually a victim of domestic violence. Olivier is violent, nasty and manipulative. When a stranger approaches Angela one night and tells her she’s in danger, she sets out to try and learn what Olivier may be hiding from her.

Has Angela Black been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Angela Black has not been renewed for a second season. However, given the popularity of this show and the recent spat of ITV renewals (Liar and The Bay as two of the more recent examples), that could well change. As a prediction, we believe that Angela Black will be renewed. Of course, take that with a pinch of salt at this time.
There’s also no word on International distribution either, with the release strictly for those within the UK. We’ll be sure to update this section with more details over the coming weeks and months!
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given ITV haven’t announced whether this has been renewed or not.

I loved Angela Black… I was a victim of domestic violence many years ago and I imagine many many women can relate… I truly hope there will be a 2nd season… especially since there are many unanswered questions… Joanne Frogget is excellent… just as she was in Downton Abby!
