Renewed Or Cancelled?
Vikings: Valhalla is the spin-off to the popular Amazon series, with lots of bloody battles, viking action and political backstabbing. After finishing the whole series, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 about?
This second season sees all of our characters off on different quests, dividing up the run-time into several different sub-plots. Over in London, Emma of Normandy realizes there’s a traitor in her midst after someone tries to poison her. Throughout the season, she attempts to figure out who she can trust and who means to do her harm.
Meanwhile, Freydis is given a prophetic sign from the Seer, which brings her in the presence of the Jomsvikings and Jomsborg. Once there though, she realizes the place holds more than a few secrets.
Finally, Harald and Leif organize a party to head off in search of Constantinople for their quest, as Harald continues to try and forget ahead with his plan to become the King of Norway.

Has Vikings: Valhalla been renewed for season 3?
At the time of writing, Vikings: Valhalla has not been renewed for a third season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.
Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. The completion rate is one of the most important metrics though, as recently revealed with the shock cancellation of 1899.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Vikings: Valhalla has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many pointing out the same as ourselves that this season is a definite step down from the first in terms of drama and action.
Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a third season. This show is still super popular and fans are likely to stick with this one until the end rather than dropping it halfway through.

What we know about season 3 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, if this is renewed expect the story to continue, with Harald closing in on his target of gaining support and an army to take back Norway. Oh, and of course reunite with Freydis who now has her son back.
As mentioned above, we predict that this will be renewed but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. We’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
