Vigilante is the latest dark-hero thriller available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu. The show is based on a webtoon by the same name and it’s full of high-octane action and thrills abound.
What is Vigilante Season 1 about?
Vigilante is the latest K-drama headlined by Nam Joo-hyuk. The show is adapted from a Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Gyu-sam. The show tells the story of Kim Ji Yong, who watched his mom get beaten to death when he was a kid. Unfortunately, the killer only got a light sentence of three and a half years in prison.
Years later, Ji Yong comes across the culprit, who has not changed. He decides to take matters into his own hands and starts being a vigilante. During the weekdays, he is an exemplary student at the Police university. On the weekends, he punishes the criminals who receive light sentences and maintains their criminal lives.

Has Vigilante been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, there are reports that Vigilante has been renewed for season two.
The show has managed to captivate Korean and international fans and has maintained average ratings throughout its run.
Despite the ratings, it’s extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. But this has changed in recent years. We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Not much is known about Season 2 at the moment except rumours that the main lead cast will return. The finale left us with many questions, and we know that the Vigilante’s fight against injustice is ongoing.
Given the show’s premise, many storylines could be covered in season 2. The possibilities are endless, and we hope the fans’ reaction will inspire the writers to expound more on the story of Ji-yong, Mi-ryeo, Cho-heon and Kang Ok.
However, this will have to wait until Nam Joo Hyuk finishes his mandatory military enlistment. This means if we get a season 2, we have to wait at least well into 2025.

Just watched Season 1 for the second time. Such a good series, one of the best kdrama I’ve watched for a while. Im rooting for them to make Season 2 :)
Binged the vigilante season 1 last night. It was super could not go to sleep until I finished all eight episodes. Hope season 2 comes soon and in english . Great first season.

I really hope there is a season 2 of this series. Even if I have to wait for 5years I will be waiting patiently for it. Such a nice series with such brilliant ending .
Really hoping they go for season two. That said – the ending was realistic in so far as that there is always a bigger fish higher up that won’t get caught. So I consider it a good ending.
There must be a Season 2 of the Vigilante for sure
