What is Truth Be Told Season 3 about?

Truth Be Told is Apple’s flagship crime drama series, now marching onto its third season. The show itself tackles America’s obsession with true crime podcasts through the eyes of its titular character, Poppy Scoville. Frustrated by the lack of media and police attention on young missing black girls, Poppy teams with Detective Aames to try and get to the bottom of this.

However, when Drea is found dead in a motel room and a suspected trafficking ring being the main cause behind this, is this one task too many for Poppy to handle?

Has Truth Be Told been renewed for season 4?

At the time of writing, AppleTV+ has cancelled Truth Be Told according to Variety.

What we know about season 4 so far:

If this is renewed on a new platform, expect Poppy and the gang to return and continue fighting the good fight, rooting out corruption and putting a stop to shady gangsters and politicians.

  11. Absolutely, it’s a series that shows all sides of a story from all viewpoints. Very refreshing. I wish there were more seasons. It’s not predictable at this point and maybe that’s why I love it. I say keep them coming.

  13. A home run…I know “Oak Town” & Frisco..& Truth Be Told is spot on GREAT fimed in both Oakland & San Francisco. Wonderfully creative, complicated characters & stories. Mesmerizing in looming twist & turns of plots & character development, casting could not be better. No munchies & talking during this one. Pay attention! It draws the viewer in..a healthy great habit! YES KEEP THIS ONE ON TOP & ROLLIN APPLE TV.. waiting for season 4 ( 5,6,7 ect….p s I disagree about bad launage, bring it on, it’s reality, in Oak Town & & any big city, ignore that comment.& bring the fing show back ! Lol

  15. I love this show and I love the complicated characters and dynamics of the vast. No one is perfect but they seem so real. I would watch anything with octavia spencer but this is very well written and acted. Bring back season 4!

  18. I love the mystery!!! The dialogue is amazing. It’s real!!! you win some and you lose some. The most important when you lose something need to be overturn to get the wrong doers, and don’t have to talk about.

  23. I love this series, and please bring it back. From my understanding there were complaints of Poppy’s selfishness; my take on that is sometimes you have to be in order to get the job done. For some reason, people think that’s a bad thing.

    The way Season 3 ended, there must be a 4…
    Octavia Spencer(Poppy) and Mekhi Phifer(Markus) are amazing, well the whole cast gets an applause!!

  34. We have a watch party and catch up on weeks when the ladies and I miss episodes! Markus needs to hold his tongue… he always opens his mouth at the wrong time. Poppy is so insightful and we like watching her wheels spin and solve these crimes. Season 4, 5 and many more had better be on deck! Bring us our Popsicle, Apple+!

  35. My family and I love love love this crime drama! Poppy (Octavia Spencer) is just amazing! Her character is dynamic and Octavia rises to the occasion- every episode! The storyline is so relevant. We loved catching up on multiple episodes (mini binging) 😂. Apple has to renew for Season 4! Poppy will come after Apple next 🤣

    Please allow there to be a season 4 and more.
