Has The Tattooist Of Auschwitz been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

The Tattooist Of Auschwitz is a harrowing, hard-hitting drama set during the Holocaust. However, it’s also a romance too, as two unlikely souls find one another in the midst of the war. After watching all 6 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is The Tattooist Of Auschwitz about?

The Tattooist of Auschwitz is based on a true story, and is adapted from the novel sporting the same name. It follows the life of Lale (Lali) Sokolov, a Jewish prisoner tasked with tattooing ID numbers on prisoners’ arms in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War II. Whilst there, he finds an unlikely similar soul in Gita, who shows up and changes his life forever.

Together, the pair try to navigate their way through the horrors of the war, while also finding a blossoming romance between them.

Has The Tattooist Of Auschwitz been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, The Tattooist Of Auschwitz has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Sky would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.

So far, The Tattooist Of Auschwitz has had a pretty good reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many commenting on how well produced and written the show is.

Given the way this show is set up as a mini-series, with a complete story from start to finish, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. The series does have plenty of potential but we get a conclusive finish, and there’s not exactly any more material that can be adapted. However, we’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point as Sky haven’t officially renewed this one. Should it be renewed, we’d imagine that there will be 6 more episodes, each clocking in at around 55 minutes or so. Realistically, the only way this story could continue is to shift characters to either Gita or following Lali’s son but that’s very unlikely, given what we know about the story.

We’ll be sure to update this page if there are any changes on this front.
