What is The Tailor about?

The Tailor is inspired by a true story, following a famous tailor who begins to sew a wedding dress for his best friend’s fiance. However, all three hold dark secrets that threaten to upend their lives.

After that cliffhanger ending in season 1, the second series sees Peyami face new challenges as his friendship with Dimitri is tested to the limit. Meanwhile, Esvet spends more time at the house with Mustafa, where a new woman enters his life.

Has The Tailor been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing, Netflix have renewed The Tailor for a third season. Given the nature of this series, that’s hardly surprising given how popular this one is!

Generally Netflix, like other streaming platforms, gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton etc.) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, The Tailor has had a good reaction from audiences and critics alike, which explains the renewal decision.

What we know about season 3 so far:

Not much is known about season 3 at the time of writing, given Netflix have only just renewed this one. It’s fair to assume that all of our characters will be returning, with the story continuing to churn up more drama and romance on the horizon.

Sat down to watch The first season & ended up binging all the way through into the wee hours of the morning …really loved it, and I switched back-and-forth between English and Turkish with subtitles. Turkish is such a beautiful language. I’ve watched a lot of excellent series from Turkey in the last couple of years. My main attraction to the show was the initial love story …the two leads are absolutely gorgeous… then you got drawn into the entire story. I hope the little blurb we saw at the very end is a little tease as to what could be coming in season three and I hope Netflix is smart enough to greenlight another season. LOVED IT!!

    Season 1 and 2 were one of the best I’ve seen in a while, the last episode brought tears in my eyes, I’d hate it, if it ended that way.
    I want to know if Mustafa who finally found his happiness will finally find happiness again.
    As well as his loving son should!
    We need a whole lot of The Tailor, if it were up to me, we would have @ least 10 seasons!

  19. This series is mind blowing! Hop there is sn3. Netflix you are good in this department. We trust you’ll bring it. The last episode of sn2 had some scenes which weren’t in either 1 or 2. These sure are in the next sn3. Am just keeping an eye and eager for it.

  30. Just loved this — its dramatic, its emotional, so well written. Is well cast and the actors performed their roles perfectly. And of course Mustafa stole every scene with extraordinary portrayal of a disabled person. Tears were shed in the final episode and would love to see another series
