The Most Beautiful Flower is the latest Mexican teen drama, using the usual tropes you’d expect from this genre and splashing them across a visually pleasing and easy to watch 10 episode series. After finishing this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is The Most Beautiful Flower Season 1 about?
The story centers on social pariah Mich and her misfit friends, Tania and Yadi. Mich has dreams of being the popular kid, she wants to be in the spotlight like her cousin Brenda, and she has plans to try and conquer high school. Mich is currently dating popular kid Dani… but there’s a problem. He wants to keep their relationship a secret. If that wasn’t enough, Mich finds herself romantically linked with Mati, an aspiring DJ and also with Majo, a female student at school.
This “love octagon” is made all the more complicated when Brenda becomes entangled in the drama, with Mich and her starting up a rivalry over who’s going to star in the lead play at school, Alice in Xochiland.
As the episodes progress, this coming of age tale sees Mich struggle to meet her family obligations. She’s torn between school and her own dreams and living up to her family’s expectations.

Has The Most Beautiful Flower been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, The Most Beautiful Flower has not been renewed for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.
Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, The Most Beautiful Flower has had a pretty mixed reaction from audiences and critics alike, with some lamenting the archetypal characters and the cliffhanger ending.
Given the way this show is set up, there’s definitely potential for a sequel. There’s a lot baited there for a more expansive second season but this is also a genre that’s very difficult to gauge audience retention and an appetite for more. Given the recent string of cancellations in this field, we’re going out on a limb and predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, there’s a very good case for another to follow.
The ending sees Mich still unsure over who she’s going to pick going forward, with Dani, Mati and Majo still in the running to vie for Mich’s affection. Of course, there’s also the subject of Brenda too, who’s hell-bent on getting revenge on her.
As mentioned above, we predict that this will not be renewed but we could be completely wrong! We’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!

I DEFINITELY would like additional seasons of this offbeat tele nova, with its quirky, offbeat cast.
They’re quirky, but likable, with the exception o course, of Brenda, Michelle’s cousin, and nemesis.
Brenda’s the perfect teenage villainess, a Hispanic “mean girl,” who destroys everyone in her way in her quest for popularity, the hot boyfriend, the female lead in the play, the honor of carrying on the family tradition per the series title, The Most Beautiful Flower, anything that our amazing “misfit” Mich dreams of or pursues.
Brenda will stop at nothing to belittle, outdo, and generally crush our likable heroine.

I really, really, really (a whole lot of really’s) want additional seasons to root for Mich. I want to witness her quest to overcome invisibility, and come into her own, to watch Mich fulfill her dream, her response to Brenda:
“No! I’ll be better!”

I Loved the series !!! I watched the first episode and couldn’t stop until the end. I really hope it gets renew. We need more Latin shows like this on this platform.
