With exciting themes of revenge, murder, betrayals and secrets, it’s for those who love crime and investigative shows. The 10-episode series stars Ana Claudia Talancón, Sebastián Martínez, Alberto Guerra, Eréndira Ibarra, Erick Elias, Ruben Zamora and is helmed by Leonardo Padrón. With shocking revelations and plot twists, the season finale had viewers on the edge of their seats.

What is The Accident Season 1 about?

The Accident begins with Rodrigo Lobo’s birthday party which also becomes ground zero for some of the dads to win a 40-million dollar contract. But when distractions and a gust of wind have the bouncy house including the kids flying away, chaos erupts. While the Lobos hope to chalk it off as an accident and mourn their kid, Charro and Brenda are out for revenge as they hope to find someone responsible for the incident.

Has The Accident Been Renewed for Season 2? 

At the time of writing, Netflix hasn’t renewed The Accident for a Season 2.

Netflix tends to look at views and the drop-off rates before renewing or cancelling the show, along with the critical success. Some shows are instantly renewed like One Piece and Bridgerton while others take years such as The Watcher and The Victim’s Game.

The Accident also happens to have a final plot twist at the very last minute so there is scope for a Season 2. However, it is unlikely that we will get a renewal update anytime soon.

What do we know about The Accident Season 2?

Not much is known about The Accident Season 2 at the moment given that it has not been greenlit. The show ends with Carla continuing to look for David. The theme park is cancelled, Emiliano is in prison and Lucia is clean. Daniela promises to wait for Emiliano. Charro pays to be put in the same prison as Emiliano who isn’t deterred. As he walks off, we see someone sneak up behind Emiliano. 

This open ending allows for more material should the show be renewed. If the show does return, you can expect a season with approximately 8-10 episodes, each lasting around 40 minutes. However, nothing is confirmed yet, but we’ll be sure to update this page as soon as any new information comes in.
