What is Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 1 about?
Teasing Master Takagi-san is a super cute and adorable show on the blossoming friendship between middle-school classmates, Takagi and Nishikata. Based on the manga, Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san which already has an anime adaptation, the J-drama follows the same story of Takagi constantly teasing Nishikata while hiding her crush on him. Meanwhile, all that goes on in an oblivious Nishikata’s head is how he can get revenge on Takagi. However, every time he tries to prank her, she is 2 steps ahead.

Has Teasing Master Takagi-san Been Renewed for Season 2?
At the time of writing, Teasing Master Takagi-san will be getting a sequel movie.
Its Japanese cable network, TBS and Netflix tend to look at views and the drop-off rates before renewing or cancelling the show, along with the critical success. Some Netflix shows are instantly renewed like One Piece and Bridgerton while others take years such as The Watcher and The Victim’s Game.
While is unlikely that we will get Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2 as most J-dramas are a one-season wonder, thankfully a sequel movie of the same name was announced at the same time as the TV show.
What do we know about Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2?
Not much is known about Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2 at the moment given that it has not been greenlit. However, we do have news about the sequel movie!
The sequel movie has the same title – Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san aka Teasing Master Takagi-san and will be released on 31st May, 2024. Nagano Mei of The Gift of Your Heart and Burn the House Down fame has been cast as the older Takagi. Meanwhile, Takahashi Fumiya who recently went viral for voicing Kamen Rider Zero-One is the older Nishikata.
As for the supporting cast, Eguchi Yosuke returns as Teacher Tanabe. Suzuki Jin who was recently in From Me To You’s live-action will be Nakai while former child actor Taira Yuna is the older version of Mano. Maeda Oshiro and Shida Sara are set to play the older versions of Hamaguchi and Hojo respectively. The TV show’s writer, Kanazawa Tomoki and director, Imaizumi Rikiya will be returning for the movie.
It is set 10 years after the events of the TV show which ends with Takagi moving to Paris and leaving a heartbroken Nishikata behind. In the movie, Takagi returns to her hometown and as she visits her middle school, she is surprised to see that Nishikata works there as the PE teacher.

The second season will test both adults in their new roles one a PE teacher and the other an interim teacher in training. Let”s see if the passion of youth transfers to the adult lives which hopefully restart
the spark of passion. Only time will tell as their relationship begins anew in season 2
Teasing Master Takagi-san should have a second season because you (the audience) wants Takagi to return after spending ten years in Paris ,France and reencounters Nishikata and let the teasing start over but as 25 year olds one a teacher in her former school with Nishikata a physical education teacher who is struggling but as adults the fires of passion will be rekindled and the romance of these two adults will begin in earnest as both try to start their adult lives and lets see if Takagi has outgrown
her teasing and Nishikata accepts her now as she is with/or without her planned teasing escapades which will test Nishikata’s patience.
