Spy x Family Season 2 serves as a direct continuation of 2022’s hit shonen action comedy anime. Like the previous season, this one offers a nice spy and assassin-themed plot with endearing characters. After finishing all 12 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or canceled. What is Spy x Family Season 2 about?
Spy x Family Season 2 is based on the popular shonen manga written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endou. This season will cover the Cruise Adventure arc, which will have Anya and her family going on a luxurious cruise vacation.
During this event, Yor must protect Loid and Anya from several powerful hitmen. This arc will provide viewers with a new perspective on Yor and Loid’s romantic affairs while giving Anya something fun to do.

Has Spy x Family been renewed for season 3?
At the time of writing, Spy x Family has been renewed for a third season.
Generally, Wit Studios and Cloverworks Studios gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it, gauging fan reaction, and then looking at the drop-off rate. Furthermore, manga sales and how much of the manga has been adapted are also taken into consideration. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a final decision is made about the show’s future.
So far, Spy x Family Season 2 has received great praise from audiences and critics alike, with many fans praising it for its Yor-focused narrative, great action, and stellar drama. Fans seem to be resonating with this one but of course, it all comes down to that drop-off rate.
Since this season is adapting the events of the Cruise Adventure arc precisely, it’s likely Spy x Family will be renewed for a third season. If it receives another season, we can expect the story to highlight the events that proceed in this arc. Essentially, the anime will adapt the WISE, Friendship Schemes, and possibly the Red Circus story arcs next.
