Hulu’s fantasy drama Spellbound centers on Cece Parker Jones, a powerful wizen, who moves to France to learn ballet in the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School. Cece wants to live an ordinary life. However, given that she has a lot of power, that comes with certain responsibilities that she is unable to run away from.

What is Spellbound about?
Hulu’s fantasy drama, Spellbound serves as a sequel to ‘Find Me in Paris’. The stunning Paris Opera Ballet School serves as the drama’s backdrop. Instead of focusing on the complications of time travel, the story in this one sets off on a new adventure with a brand new cast of characters and centers on the appeal of magic.
We are presented with Cece, a young girl aged 15, who sets out on a life-changing adventure. Inspired by her unshakable love of dance, she decides to leave her little American hometown for the glitz and glamour of Paris. She has to balance her desire to become a professional ballerina dancer with her fascination towards magic. On the other hand, a mysterious foe plots to claim Cece’s powers to support his own agenda.

Has Spellbound been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Spellbound has been renewed for a season 2. Production on season 2 has already begun. The upcoming second season was said to begin filming in Paris around August 2023, before the show’s release on the streaming site. The writers began working on fresh episodes as far back as June 2023, and production on the second season began in July 2023.

Cece starts her second year with a vow to leave behind all magic so she can focus solely on dance. But as her Mystic side has been unlocked, secrets of the past are revealed, and she ends up on an adventure of self-discovery. And when she befriends a new student who is actually a Mystic, it’s magical mayhem all the way! With ballet at its core, this season sees her pushing the boundaries more than ever before to fulfill her dream of becoming an etoile. Cece also has a new crush, new friends, and a surprise from a familiar face, when a BLOK hip-hop challenge ignites and bonds the second division.
