Somebody is a well-written and executed thriller that follows a genius app developer, Kim Sum, and her friends as they try to uncover a murder mystery.  However, the truth is not all black and white and as they come face to face with evil, it becomes harder to choose between love, right and wrong.

After completing Season 1, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Somebody about?

Somebody is a twisted and deeply diabolical love story of Kim Sum a genius who creates a dating app. The app starts being used by a serial killer to hunt for his victims and Kim Sum and her friends decide to investigate the mystery.

Has Somebody been renewed for season 2?

Unfortunately, Netflix is yet to make an official statement about the fate of the show but the show has been receiving good responses from both viewers and critics.

Generally, Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

As this is a K-drama, it is unlikely to get a new season even with great ratings. Most K-dramas end after one season, although Netflix have recently renewed several of its originals, so we’ll have to wait and see.

What we know about season 2 so far:

At the moment, there has been no news of season 2 and given the show’s ending it is unlikely that we will get another season. Unless the creators decide to focus on the aftermath of Yun-o’s death and the possibility of Kim Sum finding love again. It would be interesting to see if Yun-o’s body is ever discovered and if Kim Sum will face the consequences.

Sadly, at the time of this writing viewers are likely to never find out the answers to the question they have. However, should there be new information, we will update you ASAP.

    chiefs kiss😗👌. We needed a season 2 right now.😍

  2. Interesting show and how you’re drawn to certain characters despite being on the wrong side still speechless about the ending never thought the genius programer would go that route despite starting to root for serial killer well played that actor WOW

I would really appreciate it if we can have a season 234 and so on and so when somebody was a very very very good movie to watch I really appreciate the effort you put into this please don’t stop now carry-on I look forward to watching the next season of somebody and The next season on Netflix is always loyal watcher I’m being very patient waiting for you.
