Has Sky High been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

The 2020 Spanish heist movie Sky High got a lot of attention. The plot of the movie revolves around a group of young hackers who plan to steal millions of euros from a corrupt businessman. As the plot unfolds, the team members must confront their own fears and weaknesses, and make difficult choices in order to survive and achieve their goals.

The show essentially takes those same core ideas from the movie and spreads that out across an entire series, one filled with suspenseful action scenes, twists, and turns, and will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.

Sky High became available to stream on 17th March and has gained good viewership overall. After finishing the whole series, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Sky High Season 1 about?

Since we continue straight from the movie, we begin the series with Sole grieving the death of Angel and vying to take over his smash-and-grab heist crew. Her father Rogelio is sceptical and asks her to step back. But Sole is ambitious and wants to bring her own brand and sensibilities to the operations.

Rosa, Estrella’s cousin, is out for answers in the mysterious death of her cousin. Mercedes, Rogelio’s old lawyer who worked against him, is hired by Sole to whitewash her money in a move against Rogelio’s wishes.

Fernan, a new crew member joins the team as an undercover double agent for Duque, the police officer from the movie. Unknown to him, the Chief Of Police works with Rogelio to stay one step ahead. Fernan and Sole have a romantic indulgence but soon clash due to their different priorities. The show continues Sole’s rise as a fearful crime boss whilst discovering the truth about the shoddy past.

At the time of writing, Sky High has been cancelled according to Fotogramas.

What we know about season 2 so far:

If this is miraculously renewed, expect many emotional arches to be explored in the next instalment. We still don’t know whether Rogelio will accept Marta or not, and we’re also uncertain about what will happen to Fernan now that he has abandoned his secret mission to be with Sole.

In addition, since Sole has learned that her father was the one who sent Fernan to Estrella, it remains to be seen whether she will be able to face him and forgive him.

His actions led to the deaths of two people she loved, so it’s a difficult situation. There is much more to explore in the story, and even the creators have expressed their desire to continue it. The first season could serve as the foundation for introducing new lead characters and their stories.
