What is Shahmaran about?

Shahmaran centers on Sahsu, who is determined to confront her grandfather, who left her mother years ago in Adana, where she went as a lecturer.

As she embarks on this journey, she finds herself caught in the mysterious community of Mar, descended from Sahmaran. Believing in the legend of Shahmaran, one of the greatest symbols of love and wisdom, the Mar race awaits the completion of the prophecy with the arrival of Sahsu.

Nothing will be the same again though as Sahsu and Maran cross paths, who set out to ask her grandfather to account for the past…

Has Shahmaran been renewed for season 3?

At the time of writing Shahmaran has not been renewed for season 3. Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.

So far, Shahmaran has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many enjoying the story and the pacing.

Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a third season. The series has plenty of potential and we know Netflix have given the greenlight for a lot of Turkish series in the past.

What we know about season 3 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Netflix have not greenlit a sequel just yet. The conclusion does open things up for a follow-up though and if it does return, expect the story to continue with our familiar characters.

For now though, we’ll be counting down the days until season 3… if Netflix renew this one!

  5. You MUST renew or send me to detox because I will have withdrawals… the characters, the plot- the love, violence, lore… so good, sexy and suspenseful! I’ve researched other Turkish shows since this because if this how they do tv I’m watching more. And the main characters all gorgeous.

  6. YES!! This show was amazing. Even as an English-speaker and having to keep up with the subtitles- so worth it!! This is the second Turkish drama I got really into, they cancelled the first one:( I hope this one doesn’t get cancelled too.

Yes I think a 3rd season would be good. it left seeing her on a slab naked. let see her in the real world carring his baby she has no memory of him .her daughter ends up going to travel after graduation to we’re his people went to. Owe By her being pregnant before she was sent under means maybe shahmaran new the cycle can restart because her sister didn’t know that shah was pregnant. It’s just a ideal I hope you like it

  15. I have felt every emotion the characters felt in the series. This series became my favourite one, I’m hoping for a third season.
