Servant has been one of Apple’s longest running series on the platform, given the first season actually debuted with the release of the streaming platform. After 4 seasons of crazy twists and plenty of mystery shenanigans, we’ve finally come to the end… or have we? If you’ve been watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Servant season 4 about?

Following the shocking season 3 finale, season 4 of Servant brings the final chapter of the Turner story to an epic conclusion. Leanne’s war with the Church of Lesser Saints reaches fever pitch, threatening Spruce street, the city of Philadelphia and beyond.

Meanwhile, the shattered Turner family must not only confront the increasing threat of Leanne, but the reality surrounding what’s happening to Dorothy. As the Turner family continues to crumble, questions are finally answered: who is Leanne Grayson and who is the child in their home?

Has Servant been renewed for season 5?

At the time of writing, AppleTV+ has not renewed Servant for season 5. Given Apple’s track record for renewing a lot of its shows, it’s surprising then to know Servant season 4 has been advertised as the final for the series.

Generally Apple and other streamers gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Shantaram) Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.

Servant has had a mixed reaction overall, with many bemoaning how dragged out these seasons have been with a lack of plot development. However, these later chapters of season 4 have certainly added some much-needed urgency and answers to the big questions.

Given the way the show is set up, plus the marketing prior to release for this being a final season, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a fifth season.

What we know about season 5 so far:

Barely anything is known as season 5 at this point as Apple have officially come out and said season 4 is the finale. But then there’s nothing stopping the creators from developing a spin-off, a prequel or a sequel.

However, it seems highly unlikely that this will come to fruition. If there are any significant updates, then we’ll be sure to update this section and let you all know!

  5. Season 4 was my favourite actually. Spin-off about Julian’s life would be interesting to see, he is my favourite character and Rupert is brilliant in the role!

  7. PLEASE LET THERE BE A SPIN-OFF!!! I need more Sean, Dorothy and Julian interaction! This is one of my favorite shows. Just watched the series finale and I won’t give anything away but I’m so sad it’s done, let there be a spin off pleeeeease!

  9. I want a season 5. I need a crazy twist ending I did not see coming. I also think Dorothy needs to finally acknowledge she knows what happened to Jericho.
