Renewed Or Cancelled?It is no secret that Korea is one of the countries making great horror films and series. They have been upping their game with each project release and Revenant is the latest horror that had us fearing ghosts and locking our doors.
What is Revenant Season 1 about?
Revenant tells the story of Ku San Young who is a young woman working to the bone to better her life and become a low-ranking public officer. Her life changes after she receives numerous articles left behind by her late father, and people start mysteriously dying around her. It turns out that the door to another world opened, and Ku San Young was possessed by a demon from that other world.
Enter Yeom Hae Sang, a rich chaebol who teaches folklore at a university. He has a special ability to see demons in this world and has been searching for the one that killed his mom. He comes to face to face with the demon when it possesses Ku San Young.

Has Revenant been renewed for season 2?
At the time of this writing, Revenant has not been officially renewed for season 2. The show has managed to captivate Korean and international fans and has maintained top ratings throughout its run.
Despite these ratings, it’s extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years but given the ending, we might get a season 2 but it does seem highly unlikely.
However, we’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Given what we know about K-dramas rarely getting renewed, the show didn’t have an ambiguous ending and all storylines were perfectly wrapped. However, it would still be nice to see Hae-sang’s journey continue given that he can still see ghosts. Season 2 could focus on him and Hong-sae solving more supernatural-related crimes.
We can even get a new character that is possessed by an intriguing ghost and has to be saved. Who would you love to see play a possessed character on the show? The possibility of the things Season 2 can cover is endless. Fingers crossed that the parties involved feel the same and decide to bless us with a new season!
