Renewed Or Cancelled?
One Piece is the latest live-action remake on Netflix, with 8 episodes of pulsating action and swashbuckling adventuring.
With the first season now over, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know so far:
What is One Piece Season 1 about?
Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece follows the manga and anime sporting the same name, as Monkey D. Luffy sets out for the high seas with the promise of becoming King of the Pirates. In order to do that, he recruits ragtag group of companions who have their own reasons for setting sail.
Along the way, Luffy finds himself facing formidable foes along the way, while fearsome pirate Sealords and the ever-vigilant Marines continue to hunt him. Can Luffy come out of this on top?

Has One Piece been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Netflix has renewed One Piece for a second season.
Generally Netflix, like other streaming platforms, gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton etc.) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.
One Piece has had a pretty good reaction from fans and critics alike, with many liking the transition over to live action, even if some of the show leans a bit too hard into silly slapstick at times.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Not much is known about season 2 at the time of writing. Of course, the journey to the Grand Line will continue and Luffy will set out for the high seas, determined to make a name for himself.
We will update this page if any more information becomes available.
