What is On Call about?

On Call is an adrenaline-soaked procedural that puts us inside the squad car and on the streets with Long Beach Police. Through training officer Traci Harmon and rookie Alex Diaz, the series examines how the complexities of the job affects the human condition.

Harmon finds her journey enlightened by a kid from the streets, while Diaz learns that policing isn’t always black and white – it requires shades of grey.

Has On Call been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, On Call has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Amazon would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made. So far, On Call has had a pretty good reaction online from critics and audiences alike, with many pointing out the dramatic tone and how thrilling this one is.

Given the way this show is set up, and the ending we receive, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a second season. Amazon are generally pretty good with their renewals, and the structure of this definitely lends itself to another round of police drama.

However, we could be completely wrong too, although that does seem very unlikely in this case.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about On Call season 2 at this point. The ending does leave room open for a sequel, but if this is to return, you can expect there to be another 8 episodes and a return of all the same characters too.

  2. Just binged watched “On Call” and my husband and I absolutely loved the show. The format kept us intrigued. Felt like we were on patrol with them. You found out just enough about their personal life to keep it interesting without throwing in all the usual television drama stories that have been played out. Please bring back another season and don’t change the vision.

  8. Perhaps they could add a companion 30 minute show that details the courtroom procedures that follow the cases they are involved in.

  21. Omg PLEASE 🙏🏻 make a second and third season fast . I can see this going for awhile if f you let it as it’s a fantastic show that I had to binge it all in the same night as I couldn’t stop watching it . Hope we all don’t have a long wait for season 2 .

  31. On Call needs a season two for various reasons it keeps us in tune with our police department on what they actually get accomplished is protect and serve please let it get a season two

I really do hope on call returns for a second season it’s been a very interesting series enjoyable exciting edge of the seat type of drama and that’s the way I think a police show should be looking like not so much dialogue but a lot of investigation in action. So please have a second season because I will binge watch this whole thing like I did the first one. Thank you

  33. Hello, my name is Eric Hans. I would very much like to see a season 2, for the series “ON CALL” I am very particular when it comes to watching series. From the get-go, of episode 1, I very much enjoyed the two main characters which is different for me. normally, I go with characters/ actors, that are well known to me. Harmon and Diaz have done a phenomenal job with their acting as police officers. I find their mannerisms match up very well together. !! I hope to see season (2) ASAP thank you, eric.
