Has Numbers been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Revenge K-dramas make for exhilarating shows as we watch protagonists go against their enemies and plot their downfall. Numbers is the latest MBC thriller that invites us into the corrupt world of accounting – and we loved every minute of it!

What is Numbers  Season 1 about?

Numbers follows Jang Ho Woo, an intelligent man employed by the Taeil Accounting Firm.  Ho Woo has a great memory and observational skills with an intrinsic sense for numbers. These talents lead to him being the firm’s first high school graduate hire.

However, Ho Woo soon comes upon an intricate web of corruption and injustice in the company and now has to dismantle one of the country’s most prestigious accounting firms.

We have extensive coverage of Numbers across the site, including ongoing recaps for all 12 episodes. Feel free to check them out HERE!

Has Numbers been renewed for season 2?

At the time of this writing, Numbers has not been officially renewed for season 2. The show has managed to captivate Korean and international fans and has maintained below-average ratings of around 3% or so.

Given the rather low ratings, plus the rarity to see Korean dramas renewed for another season, it feels like the end of the road for this one. Now, there have been more renewals in recent years, with the likes of Taxi Driver and Dr Romantic to name a few, but we’re going out on a limb here and saying that this won’t be renewed.

We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available but for now, it seems like the end of the road for our characters!

What we know about season 2 so far:

As mentioned above, K-dramas rarely get renewed for a second season. However, should this be green-lit for a sequel, the main thing fans will likely want to see is what exactly Je-kyun is up to with the Real Estate Investment Trust company he started at the end of the show.

We would also like to see if Ho-woo and Seung-jo will succeed to stop Je-kyun since he’s still up to no good. It would also be great to see if Je-kyun will actually foster a relationship between him and Seung-jo’s son.

For now though, these feel more like a pipedream, as Numbers’ ratings plus the rarity of renewals would lead one to believe this won’t be renewed. We’ll be sure to update this post with more details should that change though.
