No One Will Miss Us is the latest Mexican series on Amazon Prime, a six part drama that’s full of romance and memorable moments. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is No One Will Miss Us about?
No One Will Miss Us takes place in the 90’s and five losers find themselves running an illegal business at their high school. They sell homework and assignments to their classmates. The advantage, of course, is that no one ever suspects the nerds.
Their business brings them money and popularity but naturally, as they’re teenagers, hormones and an unexpected death threaten to ruin everything. If the business collapses, their futures and friendships are at risk.
Has No One Will Miss Us been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing No One Will Miss Us has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Amazon Prime would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.
So far, No One Will Miss Us has had a pretty good reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many enjoying the story and the pacing.
Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a second season. The series has plenty of potential and we do know that foreign series like this Mexican drama, have way more leeway when it comes to renewals.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Amazon have not greenlit a sequel just yet. The conclusion does open things up for a follow-up but as mentioned above, we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
If this one is renewed, we’ll likely see familiar characters return, along with plenty of tension and drama for good measure.
For now though, we’ll be counting down the days until season 2… if Amazon renew this one!
