What is Mach Cadets Season 1 about?

Mech Cadets Season 1 begins with the selection process of cadets to pilot the newly arrived Robos. Stanford, a janitor at the time wasn’t able to participate in the pilot selection process as he failed the cadet screening test. Things take a turn as he stumbles on a Robo that has crash-landed around the canyons and bonds with it.

Stanford along with Olivia, Maya and Frank lead the defenses of Earth under the leadership of Captain Tanaka while fighting off Giant Shargs.

In their final attempt to defend Earth from the Shargs Olivia along with HF1 decides to push the Sharg through the Blackhole before it shuts down. This ends up with Olivia entering the Blackhole along with the Sharg before it can shut down.

Her friends venture into outer space with hopes they will find her. The final scene reveals that Olivia is still alive, as she wakes up in a strange room with a blurry figure walking towards her, however, it remains unclear where she is and who this figure is.

Has Mech Cadets been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed Mech Cadets for a second season. Given the nature of this series, that could change if it does good numbers for the streamers.

Generally Netflix, like other streaming platforms, gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, Mech Cadets has had a good reaction from audiences and critics alike, with the series easy to watch and full of action and drama. The show is currently seeing decent reviews with a 6.8/10 rating on IMDB.

We predict that Netflix is going to renew Mech Cadets for another season considering the ending of the season. The streamers also have a relatively good record when it comes to renewing animated series aimed for kids.

What we know about Mech Cadets Season 2 so far:

Nothing is known about season 2, given this one has not officially been renewed yet. Should Netflix decide to greenlight this one, it’s fair to assume that season 2 will reveal what happens to Olivia along with her return and possibly another Sharg invasion.
