What is Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 1 about?
Mashle: Magic and Muscles follows Mash, a boy who lacks magical prowess in a world brimming with magic. What he lacks in magic, he makes up for with his unbelievable strength. After getting into a skirmish with a Magic Realm officer named Brad, Mash must attend a prestigious Magic Academy to become the next Divine Visionary. By doing so, he’ll secure a peaceful life for himself and his father, Regro. For the most part, Mashle’s narrative is easy and simple to follow.

Has Mashle: Magic and Muscles been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Mashle: Magic and Muscles has been renewed for a second season. It appears it will air in January 2024, but its episode count is currently unknown.
Generally, A-1 Pictures gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it, gauging fan reaction, and then looking at the drop-off rate. Furthermore, manga sales and how much of the manga has been adapted are also taken into consideration. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a final decision is made about the show’s future.
So far, Mashle: Magic and Muscles has had a really good reaction from audiences and critics alike, with most commenting about its fun action scenes, compelling cast, and varied humor.
Given the way this anime is set up, it makes sense for the studio to greenlight another season this soon. Rumblings online seem to hint that the second season will highlight the Divine Visionary Selection Exam arc of the manga with some leftover bits of the Execution arc.
With all that said, fans will be delighted to know that a second season is happening!
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, despite A-1 Pictures confirming the news on the Japanese Mashle: Magic and Muscles Twitter account that another season will air early next year. However, it’s likely that the anime will continue following the story from the end of volume 4 with the Execution Arc and the start of volume 5 which highlights the Divine Visionary Selection Exam arc. Both arcs will introduce fans to new characters and more problems for Mash and his allies.
