Has Landman been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the West Texas oil rigs. Of course, Taylor Sheridan is at the helm of this one, which helps a lot as the man is a treasure when it comes to westerns on TV.

Having watched the first season,  you must be wondering if the show has made it to a renewal. After all, the season ends on an ambiguous note and with the kind of numbers the show has done on Paramount+, it should ideally be renewed, right? Here is what we know about a renewal:

What is Landman about?

Deep in the heart of this wild country, Landman follows roughnecks and wildcat billionaires as they try to get rich quick in the oil business, as oil rigs begin to dominate the state. Crisis executive Tommy Norris is one of the key players here, and across the season, tries to bring his company to the top during a fuelling boom.

Has Landman been renewed for Season 2?

At the time of writing, Landman has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Paramount would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made. So far, Missing You has had a pretty good reaction online from critics and audiences alike.

Given the way this show is set up, and given the ending we receive, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a second season. The series is definitely popular and has good ratings from both viewers and critics alike. With Yellowstone now ending, there’s a Taylor Sheridan-sized hole that Landman could comfortably fill here.

However, we could be completely wrong too, so take our prediction with a pinch of salt!

What we know about Season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about Landman season 2 at this point. We could well see a new face in town to disrupt Tommy Norris’ plans, and we can certainly expect more character drama, which has become a staple part of this series up until this point.
