If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Laid about?

The story of Laid centers on Ruby, who attends a funeral for a guy she briefly dated in college, to make up for how selfishly she treated him. However, when more of her former partners start to die, Ruby retraces her sexual past to figure out what’s happening.

Men and women both die and as Ruby works out the extent of her “body count”, it leads to some dramatic twists and turns along the way.

Has Laid been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Laid has not been renewed for season 2. Generally Peacock would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made. So far, Laid has had a pretty good reaction online from critics and audiences alike, with most liking the quirky plotline and the drama.

Given the way this show is set up, and the ending we receive, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. There’s definitely room to move into a second, given the way the show baits for a sequel, but Peacock are generally quite reserved over what shows they choose to renew and it remains to be seen how much more you could feasibly get out of this premise.

However, we could be completely wrong too, so take this with a pinch of salt.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about Laid season 2 at this point, given the show hasn’t been officially renewed. However, should it return, we’re likely to see a return of the same characters, along with a very similar premise, an 8 episode run-time and a return of the same comedy style.

  2. Yes!! I need to know what’s up with the Dad? It’s nice to see something with alittle silly, drama, and some self reflection for the girl we all know..

  3. Definitely needs a season 2! How will we ever know if ruby chooses Isaac, if Zack dies, (hopefully), or if Richie sells a car! Cmon! Season 2 or bust!

  5. YES YES YES WE NEED SEASON TWO❗️❗️❗️ I watched the Australian version, two seasons, and then saw season one of this new LAID show. I love the actors in this most current show and really, so want it back with a season two.

  6. Just binged watched the entire season as I just got Peacock. Yes please. Just because of the ending what it didn’t work, I think there can be great storyline here still. Another season please.
