Renewed Or Cancelled?
La Brea is the latest prehistoric romp on NBC and it’s been one of those shows that’s a proper guilty pleasure. After finishing the whole series, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is La Brea about?
When a massive sinkhole mysteriously opens in Los Angeles, a family are separated and whisked away into an unexplained primeval world alongside a bunch of strangers.
In season 2, La Brea throws our characters into a world completely different from what we’ve seen thus far. A lot of this centers on that mysterious tower that Rebecca led Scott to at the end of season 1, which has a significant role in how season 2 pans out.
Has La Brea been renewed for season 3?
At the time of writing, La Brea has been renewed for a third season. That’s great news for fans of the show but it comes slightly bittersweet with news that the show will be reduced down to a simple 6 episode structure.
With the latest rumblings in Hollywood that a writer’s strike will be looming upon us and networks scrambling to make sure they have material fort the busy Fall period in September, NBC are certainly keen to make sure they have something on the cards.

What we know about season 3 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given NBC have only just given the greenlight for this one. We can expect most of our regular cast to continue and a potentially hurried and fast paced handful of episodes to see this one out.
As mentioned above, this has already been renewed so we’ll have to wait and see what the writers have cooked up for us.
