Has Kaleidoscope been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Kaleidoscope is the latest heist thriller on Netflix but it comes with a big twist – you can watch the episodes in any order. After finishing the whole series, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Kaleidoscope Season 1 about?

The show is loosely based on real events and centers around the largest heist ever attempted. At the heart of this is a man named Leo, a veteran in the field. Leo is desperate for revenge against a man named Roger, who happens to front the security firm SLS. As fate would have it, he also happens to be sitting on billions in unclaimed bonds that could give Leo a pretty tasty payday.

Leo can’t go it alone though and on his journey, he’s joined by a diverse group of players that each have their eyes on the prize. There’s getaway driver RJ, Leo’s old prison buddy Stan, his oldest friend Ava and oddball couple, Bob and Judy. Together, they work to infiltrate SLS and pull off the greatest heist ever.

Has Kaleidoscope been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Kaleidoscope has not been renewed for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.

Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, Kaleidoscope has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many pointing out the same as ourselves that the characters are very lightly developed and there’s not much originality with this one.

Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. This episodic experiment doesn’t seem like something Netflix will return to in the same genre. However, it will be worth keeping an eye on this unconventional structure in the future.

We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, if this is renewed expect a very similar format, perhaps even changing this so it’s an anthology show centered around the same sort of idea with different characters. We could also see a sequel set further on down the timeline, with the protagonist changed to Hannah or Judy instead.

As mentioned above, we predict that this will not be renewed but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. We’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
