Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the latest series set in the animated Jurassic World universe on Netflix . So after watching this one in its entirety, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Jurassic World: Chaos Theory about?
In a world where dinosaurs roam the streets, Darius and friends are living among dinosaurs again, all whilst dealing with a devastating loss. Unfortunately, mysterious threats and constant danger from prehistoric predators looks set to cause chaos. Will our familiar characters make it out of this one in one piece?
Has Jurassic World: Chaos Theory been renewed for season 2?
UPDATE: Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2 will air sometime this Fall.
At the time of writing, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has been renewed for season 2. Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.
So far, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has had a pretty good reaction from critics and audiences alike, as one would expect from the animated follow-up to the hugely successful Camp Cretaceous. Many have commented on the story as one of the show’s greatest strengths.
Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a second season. The series is going to bring in a ton of familiar faces and that, in turn, will look good for Netflix’s completion rate metric too, which we know is important.
Furthermore, it’s also an animated series and these actually have a good track record of renewals.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point but we imagine it will have another 10 episodes and continue with the same format, continuing Darius and co’s story.

Yes! I’m 64 and a Jurassic fan. I was put off at first because of the animation. I like to give those the benefit of at least watching one episode. I was hooked. Two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
