Renewed or Cancelled?

Season 2 of How I Met Your Father was even more of a riot than the first one. It was great to see Sophie, Valentina, Charlie, Jesse, Sid and Ellen on screen again as they navigate the ups and downs of life in New York. This season came with an additional ten episodes and they were all well worth the wait.

If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know so far:

What is How I Met Your Father Season 2 about?

A spin-off of the iconic How I Met Your Mother series, HIMYF follows the life of Sophie Tompkins and her friends as they explore their work and love lives in New York City. An older Sophie, played by Kim Cattrall, narrates the entire thing to her son, building up to the reveal of who his father is.

Younger Sophie is played by Hilary Duff. Her (current) primary love interests are Jesse (Christopher Lowell) and Ian (Daniel Augustin), although Sophie dates a number of others as well. The rest of the cast includes Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, and Tien Tran, who form the rest of Sophie’s eclectic group.

Has How I Met Your Father been renewed for Season 3?

At the time of writing, Hulu has cancelled How I Met Your Father according to Deadline.

What we know about Season 3 so far:

Not much is known about season 3 at the time of writing but the cliffhangers of the Season 2 finale offer a pretty good idea. Should the streamers change their mind, we assume that the series will look at Jesse and Sophie’s relationships for real this time. Oher than that, we’ll also see the aftermath of the rift between Sid and Hannah. And, of course, we may also learn more about how Valentina and Charlie ended up having Alex!

Either way, we’ll be sure to update this section if anything changes.

Its such a relaxing natural humor show! This show was so good at being its own show but still so good at reminding us about the og HIMYM. The cast are such amazing actors and Sophia and Valetina’s outfits were sooooo good! Bring it back plssss !!!

It neeeeeds to be renewed otherwise the show would have no point! We need to find out who the father is, and see Valentina and Charlie’s relationship pan out! Jessie and Sophie just got together, we need to see more!! Come on, Hulu!
