Has Hotel Cocaine been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Hotel Cocaine is the latest historical drama, set deep in the 70’s and set up with plenty of twists and turns along the way. So after watching it in its entirety, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Hotel Cocaine about?

Hotel Cocaine tells the story of Roman Compte, a Cuban exile, CIA operative, and the general manager of the Hotel Mutiny. Set deep in the heart of the glamorous epicenter of the late ’70s and early ’80s Miami cocaine scene, Hotel Cocaine is chock full of interesting characters and an engaging story.

Has Hotel Cocaine been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Hotel Cocaine has not been renewed for season 2. Generally MGM+ would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.

So far, Hotel Cocaine has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with some commenting on the story but others lamenting the poor performances and the lead character’s performance.

Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. The series does have plenty of potential but we also know that a lot of studios are tightening their purse-strings this year so it seems unlikely that this one will get a renewal order.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point as MGM+ haven’t officially renewed this one. Should it be renewed, we’d imagine that it’ll be commissioned with another 8 episode order and we’ll either continue following the same group of characters. However, this does seem highly unlikely.
