Has Heels been renewed for Season 3? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Heels is the latest wrestling drama on Starz. It’s a niche production no doubt, blending the business aspect of wrestling with a character-focused drama. All of this, coupled with plenty of in-ring action too, makes for an explosive watch.

With the second season now over, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know so far:

What is Heels season 2 about?

Season 1 ended with Crystal winning the Duffy Wrestling League championship after Jack and Ace got into a real-life brawl in the ring.

Ace is left reeling from Jack’s revelation; he flees Duffy, leaving his brother behind to reflect upon the tragedy of their father’s death. All the while, this leaves big question marks about the wrestling fed and where they go from here. Will anything ever be the same again?

Has Heels been renewed for season 3?

Unfortunately, Starz has canceled Heels, so the show will not be returning to the platform for a third season.

Heels already had a relatively small audience, but compared to season 1, the series has seen a drop of 58% in viewership. That’s pretty substantial, and certainly a reason towards this one getting the chop.

There is a silver lining, however, as Heels could still be renewed. After showrunner Mike O’Malley shopped the show around to other networks, Netflix acquired the first two seasons. The streamer hasn’t renewed Heels for season 3, but that could change if the show performs well for Netflix.

As of right now, there is no season 3 officially in the works, although we will update this section when we learn more!

What we know about season 3 so far:

Not much is known about season 3 at the time of writing, given Netflix hasn’t renewed it for a third season since Starz’s cancellation. Should Heels’ new home decide to greenlight this one, then of course we’ll have plenty more wrestling action and character-driven drama to contend with. We’ll be sure to keep you guys updated should this news change.

  1. I LOVE HEELS!! There needs to be a season 3. I have HEEL’s watching parties at my apartment and everyone loved it and want season 3.

  2. Please don’t cancel Heel’s. I love that show and the acting and writing is great! I will cancel my starz subscription!!! DON’T CANCEL HEELS!!!

  3. Great show with real lessons to be seen, felt and experienced in how we find who and what we are and who and what we want to be in a world in dire need of good strong character and the ability to see beyond one’s nose.

  4. Great series. Really deserves a season 3 for me to return to Starz. Just hitting its stride on character development and culmination for a series ending in a finale season 3. Starz needs signature series like this to make it’s mark.

  5. Please don’t stop Heels I so look forward to seeing it every Friday night We want a season 3 with more episodes Please

  6. I honestly only pay to have Starz to watch Heels. I was so wanting to watch the next episode after 8 and now have to wait on next season lol I will cancel Starz if they don’t take on Heels again best believe that.

  7. I absolutely love Heels. Please Starz renew for season 3.if your going to end it give us at least one more season to do it right.

  8. I think the writers strike will keep the fate of Heels up in the air. Networks like StarZ and others probably don’t want to commit to something when they don’t know when there will be writers to write a next season.

  9. This is the best show streaming! I will be heartbroken if it doesn’t get renewed. The acting, the story are so right on.

  10. I love this show and the only reason I still keep Starz. I blends the business side of Wrestling with the show side. Great characters. I will drop Starz if they drop Heels. I am a well educated 69 year old male who has always known wrestling was fake, but enjoyable.
