If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know so far:

What is FUBAR Season 1 about?

FUBAR centers on a CIA operative named Luke Brunner and his enigmatic team, who are thrown through the ringer when they try to track down and stop a global terrorist called Boro. They have an operative in the field that needs saving and as fate would have it, it turns out to be Brunner’s daughter, Emma.

As Emma and Luke are reunited, the tenuous father/daughter ties are put to the ultimate test as they’re forced to try and team up, whilst simultaneously confronting their own flaws.

However, that’s easier said than done as their personal and professional lives clash.

Has FUBAR been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Netflix have not renewed FUBAR for a second season. Given the nature of this series, that could change if it does good numbers for the streamers.

Generally Netflix, like other streaming platforms, gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton etc.) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

So far, FUBAR has had a pretty good reaction from audiences and critics alike, with the series easy to watch and digest. With a big star like Arnie fronting this one, it should get a good number of eyeballs on it but how many complete the series will ultimately be the real test over a renewal.

With all that considered, we predict that Netflix will not renew FUBAR for a follow-up season. Now, that could change but this seems like another series that’s doomed to fall into the relegation block and not be renewed, especially with some big stars and Netflix’s history of just dropping shows without completing them. Hopefully we’re wrong on that front though!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Not much is known about season 2 at the time of writing, given Netflix have not officially renewed this one yet. Should the streamers decide to greenlight this one, it’s fair to assume that we’ll be back with Luke and the rest of the family as they work to try and escape the potential criminals coming after them following Boro outing everyone’s true identities.

It’s likely that Netflix will make an official announcement several months from now, once the final viewing figures are in, but for now we’ll have to wait and see. We’ll be sure to update this section with more information as it becomes available.
