Renewed Or Cancelled?
Freeridge is a spinoff of the beloved comedy-drama, On My Block. The series itself was fun and quirky but is there going to be a Season 2? If you’ve been wondering, here’s what we know:
What is Freeridge Season 1 about?
Freeridge is a teen drama that follows the lives of Gloria, Ines, Demi and Cam as they navigate the ups and downs of teenage life — school, relationships and mysterious boxes that put a curse on you.
Gloria, Demi and Cam are all sophomores while Ines is Gloria’s troublesome sister who has inserted herself in the group. Cam finds a box at a yard sale and soon later a mysterious woman comes looking for it. As the group of friends find their lives turned upside down, they desperately try to break the curse.
The show features Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Bryana Salaz, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Ciara Riley Wilson, and Peggy Blow in the leading roles.

Has Freeridge been renewed for Season 2?
Despite ending with some mediocre episodes, Freeridge Season 1 offered up a fresh story with some truly unique characters. At the time of writing this, it has not been renewed or cancelled. Netflix has not made any official statement about the series yet.
Usually, the renewal of a series depends on a few metrics including the number of viewers as well as how many complete watching the show. While Freeridge has seen some praise and also boasts of On My Block’s original fan base, Netflix has been known to make shocking cancellations of shows.
However, considering the show’s growing popularity, we predict that the show will be renewed for Season 2.
What we know about Season 2 so far:
Not much is known about Season 2 of Freeridge. If Netflix green lights the show, which as we said above is unsure, there will be more information regarding the release date, cast and story.
Season 1 of Freeridge completed the arc of the cursed box but ended with a stirring cliffhanger (spoilers ahead!) — the eccentric Mariluna Martinez gives the group of friends the offer of a lifetime and then seemingly gets shot by Joker and his friend. While we only see her legs dangling out from a car, it’s likely that she is dead.
Meanwhile, Ines and Rusty also share a kiss that was meant to be the last of Ines’s crush on him but ended up becoming a passionate moment. It happens merely seconds before Gloria arrives and apologises to the two of them. It’s safe to say, Season 2 of Freeridge has plenty to resolve and will follow these storylines.

This show did suck me in and only 8 episodes WTF…. Hoping to see a return for season 2.
Hecky naw let season 2 run its course because we neeeeeeeded this fr fr I was mad when they ended omb but since this reboot of it I love it only if Jaml and Monse got together like come on u know they the ones who should be together and just to end the 1st season with her getting shot and with 8 episodes LIKE COOOOOME ONNNNNNNNNN .
