Has Everything Now been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed or Cancelled?

Everything Now is a British teen comedy-drama that has been critically acclaimed for its presentation of eating disorders.

What is Everything Now Season 1 about?

The series is centred on a 16-year-old British girl. She rejoins school after a hospital stay caused by anorexia nervosa. However, a lot of things have changed, and she struggles to keep up with her friends. As she struggles to fit in, Mia makes some risky decisions that nearly cause her to relapse. Thankfully, she has a great support system to see her through, but does she want to make it though?

We have extensive coverage for Everything Now across the site, including recaps for all episodes and a full season review. Feel free to check those out HERE!

Has Everything Now been renewed for season 2?

Unfortunately, Everything Now has been cancelled, despite some episodes for a second season having already been written, according to actor Dylan Brady in an interview with Film Updates

Generally, Netflix gauges numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars). Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future.

It seems the only hope for Everything Now currently is if another platform picks up of the show. However, that doesn’t seem likely, given that the show did poor numbers for Netflix. We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Nothing is known about what was planned for season 2, except what Brady told Film Updates: that some episodes had been written, and he was excited about “some great ideas,” but they were left “at the mercy of the algorithm.”

We had hoped to see how Mia was holding up and if she was sticking to her treatment in season 2. We also hoped to see more of Alex. Unfortunately, we likely won’t see this come to pass, given Everything Now’s cancellation.
