Renewed Or Cancelled?
Death’s Game is a fantasy thriller K-drama set to air on Amazon Prime Video, TVing and JTBC. The show’s line-up created a lot buzz as K-drama fans get excited to see most of their favourite actors in one show. Even after airing, the show continues to trend on various social media platforms for its quality storyline, amazing cast and commendable life lessons.
After completing all episodes in Season 1, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s everything we know about season 2:
What is Death’s Game about?
The show tells the story of Choi Yi Jae, a man sick and tired of life’s ups and downs. He kills himself after losing his job, ending his relationship and losing all his life savings after being scammed. Unfortunately for him, Death gets offended by his action and decides to punish him for his frivolous attitude towards dying. I guess for Yi Jae when it rains, it pours.

Has Death’s Game been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, the show has NOT been renewed for a new season. Given the high ratings over the weeks, it is a shame we are unlikely to get a second season.
The show has managed to captivate Korean and international fans and has maintained top ratings throughout its run. Despite the ratings, it’s extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years, but given the sheer wealth of talent that is sure to move onto other projects, we predict that Death’s Game will not be renewed for a second season.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Unfortunately, given the show’s ending, we will unlikely get a new season. Secondly, the cast in this show is improbable to return. Most of these characters’ storylines were well-wrapped. If we get a new season, it might be with a new cast and a different storyline. I am not sure if Death has more games, but I am willing to bet there are a few she can think of. Either way, Death’s Game was a great K-drama with important life lessons. It will be great if we get a new season, but will it be able to carry on the legacy of the first?
