Renewed Or Cancelled?
Also known as Liebes Kind, Dear Child is Netflix’s latest addition to the mystery thriller genre. This German miniseries is based on a novel written by Romy Hausmannand and brings to life a story about two separate mysteries that are intertwined together. The show stars Kim Riedle, Naila Schuberth, Sammy Schrein, Hans Löw, Haley Louise Jones and more.
If you’ve been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Dear Child Season 1 about?
Dear Child is based on a thrilling book that follows two intertwined mysteries in a small town. The limited series follows the life of Lena, who is stuck inside a strange hostage situation with two young kids, Hannah and Jonathan. Interestingly, the show begins with her and Hannah’s narrow escape from the situation. But things get complicated when the investigation begins to point to one of the town’s cold cases — the disappearance of a young woman named Lena, 13 years ago.

Has Dear Child been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Dear Child has not been renewed for season 2.
Seeing as the show wrapped up with a fairly conclusive ending, there doesn’t seem to be much scope for a season 2. The mystery was solved, Lars Rogner got what he deserved at the hands of Jasmin. We even see how he met the original Lena and got infatuated with her. While the ending leaves a few questions about where the kids, Hannah and Jonathan, end up, it more or less answers all the big ones.
Moreover, the six episodes of Dear Child Season 1 covered the entire storyline of the novel it was based on. These factors lead us to predict that the series will not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about a second season right now. Given this show was based on a novel and mostly stuck true to it, it’s unlikely that it will be renewed.
The conclusion of Dear Child was pretty solid, with the perpetrator meeting his death and Lena’s parents finally able to move on from the death of their child. Should there be a season 2, we would probably see how Jasmin, Hannah and Jonathan moves on after all they have endured. But with the central crime done away with, there is no scope for another mystery thriller here.
As mentioned above, we predict that this will not be renewed but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. We’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!

Please renew it whos johnathans father and the other guys involved and if it was actually Lena’s body in the garden n so on where the kids will go or spin off and make it so Lena is still actually alive and escaped or kept separated from the kids
