Renewed Or Cancelled?
After the exciting finish of the anime adaptation which took over the early 2000s, Bleach is back after a decade with a sequel. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War season 1 began in late 2022 and, instantly a year later, we got Part 2 in 2023. Finally, we got part 3 coming right to us in 2024.
Well, after watching Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 about?
After a crazy battle with Ichibei Hyousube—leader of the Soul Society’s Royal Guard—the powerful Yhwach moves into the final stage of his master plan. He aims to slay the Soul King, the being whose very existence maintains the status quo of three worlds: Hueco Mundo, the Soul Society, and the realm of humans that Ichigo Kurosaki and his closest friends hail from.
Ichigo rushes to stop Yhwach from accomplishing his ultimate goal and save the countless lives within the three existing realms. However, Ichigo has a complicated lineage, one that leaves him susceptible to Yhwach’s sinister influence.
Has Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War been renewed for Part 4?
At the time of writing, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has been renewed for Part 4 officially.
Well, it is good news and bad news. Not only is the anime returning after a decade, but it has also been decided that we will get 4 cours/parts. But the sad news is that the anime will be coming to an end after Part 4.
We do know, however, that the final arc will delve deep into the Soul King and the history of the Soul Society, promising the return of favourite characters, and answers to long-running mysteries.
However, since we also have the light novel, Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World, we could see a spin-off based on the novel after the anime adaptation of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.
What we know about Part 4 so far:
Since a manga has several storylines broken up into different arcs, the animated adaptation usually takes on 1 or 2 arcs each cour or season. Each cour of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc adapts around 50 manga chapters. So you can read the second half of the final arc from around chapter 580 chapter if you are a sucker for spoilers.
Part 3 is currently airing, and you can watch a trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War below.
We’ll be sure to update this page if there are any changes on this front.
