Has Berlin been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Has Berlin  Been Renewed For Season 2?

Berlin was the most awaited spin-off of the hit Netflix show Money Heist, which dropped back in 2017 and spanned five seasons. While Professor was an intriguing character, his brother Berlin was an enigma. Following the high demand, Netflix decided to make a series on Berlin; it turned out to be the worst mistake ever!

After completing all episodes in Season 1, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s everything we know about season 2:

What is Berlin about?

The show takes us into the life of Berlin in his glory days. The show takes us back to one of Berlin’s greatest plans ever: stealing 44 million euros worth of jewels in one night. He assembled a team in Paris, and together, they worked on executing the plan.

We have ongoing coverage of Berlin across the site, including recaps for every episode. You can check that out HERE!

Has Berlin been renewed for season 2?

Netflix recently renewed the show for a second season .This comes weeks after the show ended . Still, based on the feedback from the fans and critics, plus the low viewership ratings compared to Money Heist, Netflix is taking a huge risk by greenlighting a second season.

In most cases, Netflix gauges numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars).

What we know about season 2 so far:

Hopefully, Netflix will improve Berlin’s character. Season 1 destroyed the fans’ expectations. We had expected to get a great criminal mastermind making the heist of the century. Instead, we got a sappy romantic who could barely focus enough to pull a heist! The stories for the supporting characters need to be improved as well.
