Renewed Or Cancelled?
Baby Fever is a really solid romantic comedy-drama that’s carved out a niche name for itself on Netflix, with well written characters and a decent narrative running throughout. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Baby Fever about?
Baby Fever returns with fertility doctor Nana now a mother to a two-month-old baby. However, Nana hates being on maternity leave. She makes the drastic decision to beg her old boss, Helle, to give her back her job.
Although Helle agrees, he’ll only allow it if Nana can start tomorrow. Now in desperate need of a babysitter, the only option is her mother, the dansktop singer Lisa, to move into Nana’s tiny apartment.
At Dovi, Helle has hired a new star doctor, the flawless Hampus, who – with his Swedish perfectness – makes it difficult for Nana to reclaim her rockstar status at the clinic. Let drama ensue!
Has Baby Fever been renewed for season 3?
At the time of writing, Baby Fever has not been renewed for season 3. Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.
So far, Baby Fever has had a pretty good reaction from critics and audiences alike, with many enjoying the story and the pacing.
Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will be renewed for a third season. The series has plenty of potential and both seasons have been absolutely rock solid. Netflix do tend to give these smaller shows a chance because completion rate is a really important metric and a dedicated fanbase are more likely to watch all the show.
What we know about season 3 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 3 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. The conclusion does open things up for a follow-up though. If this one is renewed, it’s likely that Nana’s motherhood will be explored further, maybe even with a time-jump at some point to see how she gets on with a toddler. Furthermore, we’ve got the drama involving Mathias and Hampus too.
For now though, we’ll be counting down the days until season 3… if Netflix renew this one!

Baby Fever is one of my all-time favorite shows. I absolutely love it. The characters are fantastic and the story is so engaging. The writing is flawless, as is the acting. Hysterically funny and quirky, but heartwarming and thought-provoking.
I just simply can’t have enough of this show. We need more Nana… much more!
