Queen of Tears is the latest K-drama gripping our attention and taking us through an emotional storm. This hit Netflix K-drama tells the story of Hyun-woo, portrayed by the handsome Kim Soo Hyun.
Hyun-woo is a man from a simple background with 35 cows and a two-year apartment lease. He unknowingly falls for a chaebol heiress, Hae-in, played by the timeless beauty Kim Ji-won.
If you are expecting a Cinderella kind of love story, sorry, they don’t do that here. What transpires after the marriage tears the couple apart, and they end up getting a divorce. However, fret not ! These two still love each other. They just have to find a way to each other again. The arduous journey of their love is what has us hooked. Therefore, it is no surprise that Queen of Tears is setting new records everywhere.
Queen of Tears has not only captured our hearts but also the records. It recently surpassed ‘Reply 1988’ and secured the third-highest ratings of any tvN drama to date. With six episodes left, it’s poised to potentially surpass ‘Crash Landing on You’ and ‘Goblin’. The show’s success isn’t limited to TV ratings; it’s also dominating Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for non-English shows.
Thanks to the show’s high popularity, tvN has announced that it will air two special episodes after the finale on April 28th. The special episodes are expected to air on May 4 and 5th. More information regarding the show is still being finalized, but tvN announced on their social media page that fans can expect to see Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Park Seong-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon and Joon-bin Lee answer some fan questions.
