The show is directed by Park So-yeon. The show is an adaptation of the original webtoon written by Dalgonyak. It has been reported that Park So-yeon is a fan of Dalgonyak’s webtoons. So-yeon has previously worked on K-dramas like The Heavenly Idol and Undercover.

MAIN CAST
WJSN Bona (aka Kim Ji-yeon) as Sung Soo-ji
Actress Bona aka Kim Ji-yeon plays the main lead, Sung Soo-ji in Pyramid Game. After making her singing debut in the Korean-Chinese girl group – WJSN, Bona made her acting debut in 2017 with the 2017 KBS2 series Hit the Top.
Over the years, Bona has starred in various K-dramas like Joseon Attorney: A Morality, Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Girls’ Generation 1979 as well as Chicago Typewriter.
Bona plays Sung Soo-ji, the transfer student who becomes a victim of bullying in the Baekyeon Girls’ High School’s Year 2 Class 5. Soo-ji decides to team up with the other class outcasts to overthrow the social hierarchy game called The Pyramid Game.
Jang Da-a as Baek Ha-rin
K-pop group IVE’s visual member Wonyoung’s younger sister Jang Da-a plays Baek Ha-rin in this show. Pyramid Game is Jang Da-a’s debut drama and features her in a negative role.
Ryu Da-in as Myung Ja-eun
Ryu Da-in plays Myung Ja-eun in Pyramid Game. Ja-eun is the other outcast who is picked on by the school bullies due to being outcasted by the game application. Over the last few years, Da-in has played supporting characters in popular dramas like 18 Again and Crash Course in Romance. Pyramid Game marks Da-in’s first appearance in the main role.
Shin Seul-ki as Seo Do-ah
Shin Seul-ki plays Seo Do-ah in Pyramid Game. After making her debut as a reality TV star in the 2022 Netflix show, Single’s Inferno Season 2, Seul-ki has made her acting debut in Pyramid Game.
Seo Do-ah is the daughter of Dr Seo, the director of Seosim Hospital. Do-ah is one of the three elite daughters from the class and a close acquaintance of Baek Ha-rin. She is also the class representative of Year 2 Class 5.
Kang Na-eon as Im Ye-rim
Actress Kang Na-eon plays Im Ye-rim on the show. Over the years, Na-eon has starred in shows like Blind, Crash Course in Romance, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as well as Wedding Impossible as a supporting character. Pyramid Game marks her first appearance in the main role.
On the show, Im Ye-rim is one of the rich students who is against the Pyramid Game. Ye-rim is an idol trainee in the making and often hangs out with a tomboy classmate – Eun-jeong who has a crush on her.

The first season of the web drama Pyramid Game is broadcast in South Korea on the streaming network – TVING as well as the international streaming network – Paramount+ in select regions. Pyramid Game started airing from February 29 onwards. The show releases new episodes every Wednesday with 10 episodes in total.
