PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Games Coming to PS4/PS5 in February 2024

Sony has announced the latest line-up of PS Plus Extra and Premium titles which will be made available to subscribers on Tuesday, 20 February 2024.

There are 13 games in total, with 9 games coming to the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus and 4 games coming to the Premium tier. The titles this month include the immersive  (but slightly overlong) Viking adventure Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, vibrant arcade racer Need For Speed Unbound, and the well-regarded RPG Tales of Arise.

This is a pretty decent month for subscribers as there are some quality titles within the lineup and very little filler. But what do you think about this month’s games? What will you be playing? Let us know in the comments below.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS5, PS4)

Ubisoft went back to the traditional AC formula in their last game in the series – Assassin’s Creed Mirage – which was a relief to those who didn’t appreciate the role-playing aspects of Valhalla. This month’s PS Plus game’s length didn’t sit well with some players either. Don’t let these ‘issues’ put you off the game though, as Valhalla is an exciting Viking-themed adventure title that allows you to shape both the growth of your character and the world around you. Combat is fun, the story is great, and if you dress up as a Viking at the weekends (there is no judgement here), you will definitely enjoy this one!

Need For Speed Unbound (PS5)

A vibrant visual style makes this latest edition of the Need For Speed series somewhat unique. That’s it for differences as the game still delivers the racing action and escape-the-cops style gameplay that will be familiar to anybody with an interest in the franchise. Despite the familiar gameplay, this is still an enjoyable title with cross-platform play for those who have friends using different consoles.

Tales of Arise (PS5, PS4)

The latest game in the Tales series features a diverse cast of characters, a rewarding combat system, gorgeous visuals, and a captivating story that will keep you playing throughout its 40+ hour game time. This is one of the better JRPG’s of recent years so is well worth a look, especially if you have played the other games in the series (three of which are also available to PS Plus subscribers this month).

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition (PS5)

Obsidian’s sci-fi RPG is a lot of fun, with a cast of quirky characters and a choice-based system that gives you some control over how the story unfolds. The PS4 version of the game was marred with frequent loading times which infuriatingly broke up the action but presumably the PS5 version of this intergalactic adventure is free of this frustration.

LEGO Worlds (PS4)

Have you ever wanted to live in a world made out of Lego? If so, you’ll love this sandbox title that gives you the opportunity to create the Lego world of your dreams, which can be explored by helicopter, motorbikes, and even dragons and gorillas! The game features mission-based objectives but if you don’t want to follow a story, you can chill out in the world and do (and create) your own thing.

LEGO Jurassic World (PS4)

Play through four Jurassic Park movies in Lego form with this entertaining adventure title that recreates most of what you may have already seen on the big or small screen. The game also includes Free Play missions that allow you to create your own dinosaurs so there’s lots of scope for creativity with this fun title.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to protect your world from the Malevolence that is screwing up your world. The game is an action RPG with an open-world layout that has over 40 hours of playtime for those willing to sink their time into it.
